"The exothermic chemical reaction in soap making (saponification) doesn't "damage" ingredients, rather, it's the essential chemical process that transforms fats/oils and lye (sodium hydroxide) into soap and glycerol. Saponification heat can reach 200°F (93°C) or higher. But, the intense heat generated can affect additives like fragrances or milk, potentially burning them off or altering colors, so cooling or adding sensitive items later at trace is key for quality."
Handmade soap doesn’t last forever, and that’s a good thing…
Unlike factory bars, ours aren’t packed with hardening agents or synthetic fillers, or triple milled so precious glycerin isn’t stripped away just to create a longer shelf life or a harder bar. But with the right care (like using a draining soap dish), you can help each bar last longer. Try cutting a bar in half for small hands and arthritic fingers ;)
We strictly adhere to the proper usage rates of fragrances and essential oils in our soaps as set forth by the International Fragrance Association. Some scents will be naturally lighter or stronger based on these usage rates.

Goat Milk
Since ancient times, goat milk has been renowned for its nutritional and medicinal properties. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in it. Fresh, natural goat milk contains unique fats, proteins and minerals that moisturize and rejuvenate the skin, including vitamin A, B-complex, and C; and alpha-hydroxy acid, a natural skin exfoliant. Goat milk is the only milk containing capric-caprylic triglyceride, a naturally occurring fatty acid that forms a barrier on the skin to help inhibit the loss of moisture.
Avocado Oil
Nutrient-rich, deeply hydrating natural oil high in oleic acid, vitamin E, and fatty acids, making it excellent for dry, mature, or damaged skin. It boosts hydration, promotes collagen production, and soothes inflammation associated with eczema and psoriasis for intense moisture.
Olive Oil
Olive oil, a natural oil extracted from olives, offers numerous benefits for skin health. These include:
Moisturizing: Olive oil is rich in oleic acid and vitamin E, which deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, making it soft and supple.
Antioxidant Protection: Olive oil contains antioxidants, such as polyphenols and hydroxytyrosol, which protect the skin from free radical damage caused by environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution.
Anti-inflammatory Properties: Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe and calm irritated or sensitive skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis.
Skin Elasticity: The antioxidants and nutrients in olive oil promote collagen production, which strengthens and improves skin elasticity, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Reduces Skin Aging: Olive oil's antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects help combat premature skin aging by protecting against oxidative stress and reducing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
Exfoliation: Olive oil can be used as a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter, more radiant complexion.
Wound Healing: Olive oil has antimicrobial properties that can aid in wound healing and prevent infections.
Suitable for Most Skin Types: Olive oil is generally safe for most skin types, including dry, sensitive, and mature skin.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has several potential benefits for the skin, including:
Moisturizing Properties: Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids, including lauric acid, which can help to hydrate and moisturize the skin. It forms a protective barrier on the skin that prevents moisture loss, making it suitable for treating dry, flaky, and irritated skin.
Anti-inflammatory Effects: Coconut oil contains anti-inflammatory compounds, such as medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which can help to reduce redness, swelling, and irritation. This makes it beneficial for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis.
Antioxidant Protection: Coconut oil is a good source of antioxidants, including vitamin E, which can help to protect the skin from free radical damage. This can help to reduce signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines.
Anti-aging Properties: Coconut oil can help boost collagen production due to its antioxidant properties, which may slow the aging process and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Regular topical application can increase natural collagen production, which improves skin elasticity and firmness.
Wound Healing: Coconut oil has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that can promote wound healing. It can help to reduce inflammation and infection, making it a potential treatment for minor cuts, burns, and abrasions.
Oil cleansing is a method of removing dirt, impurities, and makeup from the skin using oils. Coconut oil is a popular choice for oil cleansing due to its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
Deep Moisturization: Rich in fatty acids, it hydrates, softens, and smooths dry, flaky skin, preventing water loss.

Our soaps are lovingly made in small batches and cut by hand into one-inch-thick bars. This personal approach allows for a unique variation in size, color, and weight.
We recommend you use your soap within 6 months of purchase as the scent from essential oils and fragrance oils can dissipate over time. Please discontinue use if skin irritation occurs. If you need anything, please reach out to us.
